How To Use
Step 1: Clean the soil moisture probe.
Step 2: Stick plant watering devices probe into the soil about 2-4 inches.
Step 3: You can quickly get the moisture reading in less than 10 seconds.
Step 4: Remove probe from soil and wipe clean after each use.
Helpful Tips
1. Do not use soil moisture meter to test very hard soil. to test very hard soil.
2.Do not leave it in the soil for long periods of time.
3.Never use it to test water or other liquid. Designed for testing soil only.
4.After use, please wipe clean the soil moisture probe.

Glad I Ignored the Mixed Reviews - This Soil Meter Works Great! I was hesitant to purchase this moisture meter after reading some mixed reviews, but I'm so glad I decided to give it a try. Following the directions and tips provided seems to be key, and so far, it's reading my soil levels accurately. I tested it on three different plants with known moisture levels: a very dry indoor plant read "dry," a recently watered indoor plant read "moist," and an outdoor plant soaked by rain read "wet" – all exactly as expected. It's important to note, as the box clearly states, this is for soil and not for use in water or other liquids. Also, gently moving the probe near the roots until the meter responds is necessary. This tool is a keeper for me and is helping me understand my plants' watering needs much better!

Used for about 5 minutes. Used in 3 potted plants and once in garden. Inserted into firm moist soil pulled it out after taking reading and the sensor tip is now lost in the soil where inserted. Probe is now useless and will be thrown away. Worked well for time used

Estos medidores de humedad son muy útiles para ver el nivel de humedad de las plantas, sin embargo funcionan por un rato y hay que reemplazarlos. En mi caso este es el 3 que compro y el que menos duró. Normalmente me duran 3-4 meses pero este duró menos de unas semanas cuando ya no detecta la Humedad. Si volveré a comprar el aparato pero éste no.
