I was replacing the one that came with the apartment that was so flimsy. This by contrast is like they used to be - very solid and strong, the core seems to be wood, and it has a very nice strong finish on it in white- it fit perfectly. Took a bit re: shipping but not bad

I got TUSHY bidets for the two bathrooms in my house. The first one, which has a round seat, easily fit with the existing seat and also worked with the replacement I later bought on Amazon.But the second one, which has an oval seat, presented all kinds of problems. I needed extenders from TUSHY in order for the spout to have enough room. The bolts on the seat were too short and did not detach from it, as a result the seat wasn't sufficiently secured and would slip all over the place. The overall length of the seat seemed too short, contributing further to the problem. With much effort, I was able to secure it somewhat but it really wasn't good enough and would regularly loosen.So I decided to buy a new seat from Amazon. I had the same problem with the first one, even though the bolts were detachable (again the hinges just weren't long enough) and the bolts would barely come out on the bottom. The seat also came with a broken hinge cap.I wondered if I'd ever find a seat that would work with the bidet -- or if the problems I encountered were for the whole category of oval seats. I then bought this seat and it worked like a charm. The plastic bolts are a little short but sufficient. I was able to fasten them securely -- and could buy longer ones if I wanted. The seat no longer moves and looks good.It may be relevant to point out that both the toilet & the seat are American Standard -- the previous two were not. Perhaps this may have been a factor? Regardless, I'm happy that the issue has been resolved.

The set us well made and sturdy. I do not like the plastic bolts. It wears out easily. You have to tighten and re-tighten every week or two. I had to purchase a steel bolts to keep it secure.

Was very happy with the purchase of this seat, until I noticed it is already chipping?? I just bought it in May of this year for close to $80. I feel it should last more than 7 months with just two of us using it? Of course the "return window" is long gone

I moved recently and noticed that one of the bathroom toilet seats had seen better days. The bumpers underneath the toilet seat were split and cracking and I considered buying a bumper set but it wasn't long until I noticed that the hinges were cracking on the Bemis toilet seat. So buying hinge and bumper replacement sets would not be the most economical. it would actually be a better deal to buy a new toilet seat.This American Standard toilet seat fits much better than the Bemis' seat that I had before because it hung over the toilet bowl and was very lightweight and much lower quality.This toilet seat is made of wood but is encased in a thick hard plastic which makes it very easy to clean.I got a great Amazon Warehouse Deal on mine and if you have never purchased any Warehouse Deal before than you should check it out.Just click under "used" even though they are new products that the box has been opened for example. Pick the deal you want and you can save a considerable amount of money.I installed this toilet seat myself with just a regular screwdriver in just a matter of minutes. Extremely easy!

This toilet is amazing . Just make sure you have someone properly install it, otherwise it will leak. The cover, which I'm reviewing works fine, but sometimes the lid and the seat kind of wants to go up and down together. It's new, maybe it will work better over time. But seriously, the american standard champion 4 toilet is worth every penny.
