I didn't know how much I needed this until I had it. I have a small 3rd row vehicle. My young boys (10 and 8) sit back there. There is no air vents. I never once thought about it and they don't complain. I saw this and thought this might be nice for some airflow. Last week the temps here were high 90s and the car was hot, hot, hot. I hooked this up and my boys raved about it. Not only did it cool them off it helped circulate the air and made the whole car feel fresher. The cord is pretty long as I have to plug it into the backseat, not the 3rd row. It hooks right on to the headrest. The two fans are on those bendable arms so each kid can move and face the fan how he wants. It also has a small light. The light is enough that they can read or whatever at night without the light being a distraction to me as I'm driving. This is most definitely a 5 star item and I would highly recommend this to anyone without vents in their 3rd row.

At first, I thought I got a faulty unit: I plugged it into my Toyota SUV's console USB outlet, turned on one fan, then the other, and they would both abruptly turn off. After testing indoors, I went back out and instead plugged it into a USB adapter in the 12v/Auxiliary outlet. Then the fan worked exactly as it should. My only guess is that the power draw, when both fans were at/near max power, was somehow too much for the base USB outlet (which is labeled in my car as 2.1A). I'm hoping this info might save someone else frustration!Anyway, now that it's working, it's great. The kids are no longer complaining about how it's incredibly hot even though I've cranked the A/C to max and am beginning to freeze myself. It pushes the cool air to the back and just provides needed airflow. I have it placed in front of our younger child who can reach it from his booster seat, and our older child can reach across to turn on 'her' side of the fan.The fan does not have memory of its last setting, which is fine for my purposes. In other words, it always starts 'off' even if it was in use when the car was turned off.I'm glad it does not seem to have any kind of internal battery, since anything other than true weatherproof batteries will end up deteriorating in the constant temperature fluctuations of our seasons.A great, small purchase that gives our 'normal' car the benefit of one of the features of pricey upgraded trim levels or higher priced cars.

This fan is AMAZING. I travel with a service dog and he rides in a crash tested crate. Over the years we’ve used dozens of different fan options, and so far they’ve all been just okay. Either way struggled with batteries, low air flow, poor quality, you name it. Some were expensive and custom made for crates too.We live in Texas where it’s quite normal for it to be over a 100 degrees with a “feels like” temp 5-10 degrees or more higher. This fan has been a huge help getting airflow from the car AC to the kennel. Moveable arms for the fans make it easy to precisely keep air flowing near the crate doors for maximum cooling.This fan has the BEST power/ air flow of any we’ve tried. The 3rd level is awesome. There is individual power buttons for each fan head so the can function completely separately from the other. Highly recommended! If this breaks or ever needs to be replaced I will absolutely purchase another

I ordered these for a rather unorthodox use, so consider this when considering my review. I wanted a small usb-powered fan so that I could place it in my TV stand to ventilate the warm air created by my playstation. These fans blow air well and the build quality is pretty good. They function well, but there is an unfortunate vibration when they touch a surface that is loud and annoying. When turning them on in my hand I don't hear a vibration, but as soon as I set them down on a surface, or attach them to the headrest of my car, they make a vibrating noise that is really annoying. It's not as bad when attached to the headrest, but it's still noticeable. It doesn't work for my intended purpose, but considering that's not the intended purpose of the product, I can't fault it for that. It would be 5 stars from me if it didn't make a vibrating noise when attached to the headrest.

These work pretty well I don't drive enough these days to put them in my car and rarely have passengers when I do. Still, I found another really good use for USB fans of this design. There is a similar type of backrest on a couple of my full-size office desk chairs. I can mount them, so they point towards me instead of away. Running the AC is expensive, and recently I had to kick the heat back on with several days in the 40s it was becoming hard to sleep, but soon the hot days will be here. I count on a few weeks or months of temperatures not too hot before the summer comes to save on utilities. I use a USB fan in my bedroom I control to cool down occasionally. These fans work when I'm at my desk or computer. It's efficient much more so than normal plug-in fans or especially AC.The copper wound motor is enduring and efficient, and not likely to heat up much even on high speed. It has three speeds, and with two fans I can cool both sided of my head or direct the heat down my back some. It requires a USB power source, and I have a lot of small, medium and large power banks I can hook to the chair to plug it into. I'd love it if it had a remote, but even without it it's a good price for a high-quality set. I can see this would work for a family or in a passenger vehicle. I would have used it to blow away my mom's smoking in the car way back when. I can see the value of distributing AC in a vehicle to the back which is typically very inefficient for most cars a central blower for most just doesn't do the job on a hot day. For me it's great to use indoors. Recommended.
