While this product works well, you will have to stick it a couple of times to figure out the right angle, tilted enough to get some air and release the water slowly.

Can be annoying to fill, but thats part of the deal with these in particular, hold a lot of water and has been durable so far. Has made it really nice to know how much my plants needed water and to keep an eye on it.
