The Type 1 Garage Door Opener Remote is a commendable choice for anyone looking to replace or supplement their existing garage door opener controls. Its small size is a significant advantage, making it less obtrusive and more portable than many other remotes. Programming this remote was straightforward, and it seamlessly integrated with a 24-year-old Genie garage door opener, which speaks volumes about its compatibility with older systems. However, it's not without its shortcomings. This remote's operational range is somewhat limited compared to other remotes. While this might not be a dealbreaker for everyone, it is something to consider if your usual routine involves commanding the garage door from greater distances. Despite this, the remote remains very usable for day-to-day operations.Overall, if you're seeking a compact, easy-to-program option and can manage with a slightly reduced range, the Type 1 Garage Door Opener Remote could be a worthy addition to your garage gadgets.

I am using this to replace a mid-2000s Genie 3 button controller. My old ones work fine but I needed a few extra and absolutely hated that the OEM ones would rattle and have extra buttons that didn't do anything for me. These have batteries included and installed and with my unit it took less than a minute to setup (the instructions included worked for me).So far the range has been more than adequate and the units seem to be constructed well enough that they don't rattle. The depressed button makes it so you can't easily accidentally press it if it goes in your pocket. At around $5/remote I can't recommend these enough.

The garage door remotes were very easy to program. You should be able to do it easily, just search youtube for the video instructions relevant to your opener. The button on the remote is nice and clicky. It comes with the battery. It is smaller and sleeker than my original remote. But the range is actually not too good. It is okay functionality wise, as in, it opens the door as you approach your averaged sized driveway. However the original remote can open the door from at least double the distance.

I like that these have a single button, and are much smaller than the original remotes that came with our opener. They’re easy to program and came with preinstalled batteries. Great deal for great replacement remotes!

Got these remotes since my garage door opener only came with 1 and I need a few other for my other vehicles. These are identical in size and shape to the original clicker. Quality feels like OEM and honestly I can't tell the difference. The only difference was there aren't the logo on the clicker. This kit came with 3 clickers which is more than enough. It also came with batteries and programming it was easy. Just hit the learn button on the opener and click and hold down the remote you want to add to the system. All 3 clickers were programmed within 15 minutes and they work as advertised. Though I didn't use the supplied clip and attached this to a keychain. The remote control work just like the OE version.Great replacement remotes for the price and value.
