Made the install easier than the videos on YT.#1 baseplate and strut together#2 install baseplate#3 install rest of upper plate on hood.Bumped a star since first package had missing pin.

The package arrived with the permanent-pressed ball pins on all four brackets facing the opposite directions from the pictures provided on the product page. At first, I did not think this was too big of an inconvenience, and maybe the same alignment of the struts could be made with an alternate positioning. I attempted this, trying every possible combination of switching the bottom and top brackets, rotating each to a different orientation, as well as trying the same process with brackets on the other side of the hood. Proper movement of the struts (without something obstructing its movement or being too harsh of an angle to fully collapse) was still impossible to achieve.The rods/struts themselves arrived with no issue, just brackets. In the combinations I was able to begin trying to lower the hood, the operation and tension of the struts felt extremely solid and sufficient, until about 70% down where I'd find the next limit of movement due to alternate positioning.

The install was fairly easy. They do lift the hood with no problem. The only problem is that the gap around the hood is bigger now. I think it is because these are pushing all the time.Update. I had to remove these because they kept constant pressure on the hood and that made a large gap along the edge. The hood shook more and more so I think they may have been causing damage. The gap along the edge was getting larger as well.
