I have about an acre and this sprinkler is great for covering large swatches of land in one pass. It comes folded flat in the box and you need to install the brass head and plastic feet. Takes about a minute. They provided three filters for the fitting that attaches to the hose, presumably to keep sand from clogging the head. Once the hose was attached we turned on the water and learned a valuable lesson about anchoring the sprinkler. Because the water is pressurized to cover a long distance the unit is prone to tipping. I guess that's why the feet are plastic spikes. DUH! Our ground is hard clay and we didn't try to put the spikes into the ground for fear of breaking them. Instead we angled paving stones against the legs until it was steady. We will likely get tent or canopy weights (sand bags) to keep it upright. Once we have a well-watered area we will be able to use the spikes as intended. It has great distance and the sprinkler is adjustable in height as well. It comes with printed instructions. It will suit our purpose nicely, but I'm not sure how well it will perform in small yards.
