Step 1: Insert the probe into soil to the plant root level
Step 2: Get the test result from the indicator pointer.
Step 3: Wipe clean the probe with a cloth after each use.
TIPS
1.Do Not use it to test water and other liquid, and avoid very hard soil and stones.
2.Do Not leave the plant moisture meter in the soil for a long time

I would not buy these again. They do not accurately measure the moisture. They do not react to water being added. No value for money.

I don’t rely this to tell me the exact moisture level. This however can give me some ideas whether I should water the plant soon or not

I like that they appear to let me know if the dirt is wet, moist, or dry in my plants that I am trying so desperately not to over water.

We have purchased a number of these meters and given them to friends who have the same problem we have deciding when to water potted and garden plants. We have been quite happy with ours and they seem to give good indications of when to water, based on the health our potted and garden plants.
