Pair it with a smart bulb for better functionality. Using it to power a wyze cam outside and it works great. Well built. The light has no flickering or any other issues. The camera has not shown any issues either. Can’t complain, works as expected.

I wanted an easier way to power my Wyze cam over my front door outside, and this adapter works great. I stupidly dropped my porch light glass shade while installing it, so while waiting for a replacement, I've been using it inside. No problems at all, and I've been using it for over a month now.It works perfectly fine, but remember you have to leave the light on 100% of the time for it to power the camera 100% of the time. I overcame this problem by using a smart bulb, but you could also use a bulb with a built-in timer. Also, with an enclosed light fixture, remember your lantern's glass shade has to be big/tall enough to fit an extra 3" of length AND the cord needs a way to exit the shade. So, open ended, bell-style shades will work best. One of my outdoor light fixtures is one of those old, inexpensive jelly-jar styles, and it won't fit in there (see pic.)

I have a wyze cam in my vestibule, and need to power it from a recessed downlight fixture in the middle of the room.I got the Wyze accessory for this (and the light controller) - but the light never went on/off as I wanted, and the camera itself was hugely intermittent.So I tried one of these.It fixed the intermittent problem (used same wiring to camera), so it's going something right..might be more powerful?The supplied extenders, however, are not quite long enough to fit into a recessed (old school) light fixture - I had to use both of the adaptors supplied here to reach deep enough inside it to fit.Fortunately I don't need the second adaptor, or it would have been a no go.I never did figure out the smart light's issues, and just have a motion sensor lamp in there now.A nice handy accessory for powering up stuff near light fixtures!
