The wires were tin and difficult to work with. When plugged in, it sparked and became nonfunctional.I removed the lid and could see a black spot from the spark on the bottom of the PC board that may have touched the bottom of the metal casing where there was a black spot too. The thin film inside the metal casing did not provide sufficient insolation. I may have wired it incorrectly by connecting the d.c leads to the a.c power and the a.c. leads to the load. Good quality on the board but marginal design quality on its enclosure.

The transformer was fairly simple to install for the novice just wish there was more information on wiring going from the transformer to the lightsI'm using this transformer to lights a set of Seagull in cabinet and under cabinet lightsPrevious transformer had different colored leads so i had to guess if it made a difference for wiring to the lightsMust have guessed right or it didn't matter as all works well just as bright as previous much more expensive transformer

Update:Run 3x20w OK. Cool to touch. However, all components are exposed inside the loosen box. And the 110v connections are outside the box. To be safe, I place it inside a 1 gang metal box (metal to release heat if any). It fits snuggly and still have room for connections. Do not trust it stays alone. If it ignites, insurance will not pay. The original one has all components enclosed inside black material (same as old type ballast).So far so good.≈=================Just got delivered, the cover popped out. Inside board clearly shows 120 W. When you buy this transformer, use only 50 - 60% of the advertised label. 120W on board might have 100W circuitry. Advertising 140W.I planned to use 3x20W halogen bulbs, so I bought 140W. Just like I suspected.Let's see how long it lasts. I will update later.

The product worked as advertised, dimmer function worked. Delivery was 2-3 weeks outside the delivery window however worth the wait. Appears to be a quality product.
