These were way too thick to be used as vent filters. They completely blocked airflow and did nothing to filter bad smells.

At $1.70 per filter, I think the price is fair for what you get. I didn’t actually get them for the activated carbon feature, though it’s a nice little bonus. My main goal was to cut down on the dust that’s been circulating around the house, and these filters seem to help with that. They’re not completely solid—there are enough holes to let air through without restricting airflow, while still catching some of the dust. One thing to note is that they’re a bit larger than your standard 4"x10" vent size. You can trim them down to fit inside the vent cover, but that does take a bit of time, and honestly, I haven’t gotten around to doing that. My vents are plastic, and there are little bits of plastic here and there that kind of grip the filters in place. Unless they start falling off, I’ll probably just leave them as-is. If they do slip, then I’ll go ahead and cut them to size.Like I said, the carbon feature wasn’t my main reason for getting these. I plan to give them a good dusting every 3–4 weeks and reuse them for as long as they hold up. Overall, they’re a practical and affordable way to help with air quality and dust control around the house.
