This lift is of very good quality , it does what it suppose to do and does it efficiently.I did notch the ceiling beam to accommodate lift , you need 18 inches minimum from ceiling to floor beam , with thin projectorDelighted !

I purchased this for a Benq projector. It seems very sturdy. I built the 50' × 80' × 14' tall shop by myself that I will be installing it in. I have fabricated my own farm machinery before from bare metal. But I'll be damned if I could read and follow the instruction booklet that came with this product. It is made in China and the translation is maybe from google translator. I understand, I purchased this product for the same reason as you are looking at it, it's way cheaper than anything else you might find. Don't get me wrong, it seems like a great product for the price. I hooked up the power cord and suspended it on a tall ladder, and the remote control lowered it and raised it perfectly and quietly. My complaint is just that they could spend a little money and have a better translated manual, and definitely one with a diagram of bolts and hardware installation. I have figured it out now, but it took me a few hours and trying to find online pictures of similar lifts, and youtube vids. Vgnope "motorized projector lift" youtube video was about the best I could find. Thank you to him! Conclusion, I still would reccomend buying this product, just hopefully they hear enough people complain about the installation instructions.
