Typically with painting, I use a drill bit attachment to mix up the five gallon paint buckets. When mixing cement that I use for things like setting posts, I mix in a plastic wheelbarrow. This mixer assembles easily and comes with two different mixing paddles, looks like one is good for paint and thinner viscosity materials, and the other is good for thicker material like cement mixing.The controls are straight forward; there is an on trigger with a locking button on the right side grip. The other side has a rotary wheel that adjusts the speed/RPM of the mixer.This is going to be great for all the paint mixing needs that will arise. Being raised higher off the ground and the bottom of the wheelbarrow being slopped and contoured, I am curious how it will work when mixing cement in the wheelbarrow?The kit comes with the mixer, two paddles, two shafts, wrenches to change the paddles/shafts, extra motor brushes, nit gloves and safety glasses.With any tool that is used with paint or cement…make sure to clean the paddles off after mixing to prevent material from drying on it. Overall, this is a good value for having a dedicated electric paint and cement mixer for various projects.

This works exactly as advertised. The variable speed switch is a great feature, it fits well when holding it and the two different paddles are a good addition, rather than just providing one. The extra motor brushes (there were two sets in the box), are also a good feature. It worked great with quick-set concrete and with paint hat had ben hanging around forever, mixing it nicely in a very short amount of time, and the variable speed kept it from getting out of control. The brush covers were not tight, but were easily tightened , and I would rate this as a slight manufacturing finish issue, and I always check out power tools before operating them, so this was easily corrected. The shafts run steady and straight. The value was very good for the quality received.

I got this for my husband and he loves it! Much better than his old one which connected to his drill and made for super heavy and tiring work. This puts together very easily and works wonderfully. The length makes the work easy on the back, the handles make it easy on the hands and arms.

I got this mixer to use on sackcrete for a small project are the house. This mixer is easy to use and it mixes well. The handles are well positioned to allow you a solid hold in the mixer as it goes through the material and stirs it. I have not used it for paint but after seeing how it works for cement I think it would do a great job mixing a 5 gallon bucket of paint with little to no effort.
