Sensitive computer hard drive shipped in inadequate packaging for safe transport. No fragile stickers on package. Delivery driver "tossed" in front of door.Drive intergrity is compromised. Cannot accept this for data storage.Amazon customer service was contacted for return.

This HDD failed 24 hours after the installation in my workstation. The HDD was not well packed and judged by how it was dropped ( literally) at my front door (my door bell camera can testify!) not handled with care at all.

I did buy this drive on december 2020, test it and put it on the shelf as a spare drive. Put in production january 2021, failed today april 2022. Warranty check : warranty was expired at the time of purchase, ending february 1st 2019.

This is an older model Enterprise level WD HD, however technically it’s just as good as the new Gold models.The HD was new and sealed. It took about 20 minutes to install in a 4th gen Apple Time Capsule. This HD is actually quieter than the WD Green HD that it replaced. Speed is about the same.
