About this item

  • This is a very good USB to Serial device that is breadboard friendly and works well with communicating with ESP8266 modules
  • The dual voltage: this adapter has a jumper that allows you to switch between 3.3v and 5v effortlessly, which makes it easy to be used with just about any PIC (Programmable Interface Controller) with different voltages
  • A must have for quadcopter builders. Used to flash all your quadcopter hardware, MinimOSD and other board
  • Great addition to your electronics toolbox. Need to make sure you have the correct drivers
  • Please refer to the working systems marked on the picture, or other systems may not support

One of the rare USB to serial adapter which works with the very difficult ESP8266. It has a red power LED and one LED per com channel (Rx/Tx). You can see the activity which goes through. Very useful. The Jumper allows to select the output level 5V or 3.3V which is also very useful.

Package included:
1* USB to TTL Serial Adapter Module
Features:
A very important complement for arduino.Easy to use, no chance of it breaking, allows for easy debugging of the arduino sketch.
Everything you need from a USB to UART board. Had zero trouble using this adapter to program your CC3D board with CleanFlight.
If you know how to make it work - nothing better than this.
Note: I would highly recommend turning off windows update and downloading the earlier version drivers that will surely not brick your device. If you've already bricked the adapter, these are the instruction:
unbrick: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZH_qGautqM
unbrick: http://www.minipwner.com/index.php/unbrickftdi000(requires a Debian based Linux)
manual driver install: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPdSKT6KdF8
Note: You need to use an external power source for the ESP-12 because standard USB doesn't put out enough current and you'll have problems programming it
