It is well made, super stable and easy to use. Strong winds will not tip my large umbrella, but I still crank it down to protect it. I highly recommend this umbrella base.

The narrow size of the full hole makes putting in sand a VERY tedious process. Secondly, the design is made for a few different umbrellas...which is not what was advertised. As a result, there is a noticeable gap at the top as the four sections do NOT meet up at the pole.

Used sand to fill the base. Didn't take too long once I found the right funnel. Easy to put together, does take two people.

The design of the base is better than expected. Each piece is sitting right on each leg, but not between two legs in other designs. While its capacity is about doubled (350/lbs vs. 180lbs) than many others, the price is just a little higher. I did not bother to buy sands but easily settled all down with water filled in which is already heavy enough. The assembly is also simple and straight. Meanwhile, this set is higher than the others. As long as the umbrella is ok with that there should not be any issue.
