This was our first ping pong table and now that it is finally set up in my basement, we are very pleased with it. However, we did have some issues that I think Stiga and customers should know about.First off, when it comes time to attach the two sides of the table to the platform, there should be no children anywhere in the room. It is deadly dangerous. Each half that needs to be lifted into place weighs 117 pounds, and once the first one is mounted on the platform, it is extremely unstable and can easily fall over. In our first attempt, we set it carefully into the pivot tubes and it promptly crashed over. It could well have killed someone and it scratched the table surface badly. It turned out the table top was facing the wrong way, but even facing the correct way, it is liable to fall over. The instructions do not describe well enough the steps needed to do this safely; namely, should the third person hold the first half upright while the second half is lowered into place (in which case it is hard to slide the tubes together), or should the first half be resting on the ground before the second part is attempted (which makes the platform seesaw into the air). The second issue was that after the first half fell over, I attempted to bring it upright again by bracing my foot on the center wooden piece and pulling the table surface toward me. That made the board immediately brake into three pieces. It was particle board and I would be surprised if it was rated for more than 20 pounds. It is unacceptable to use such a weak piece of material on a platform needing to support 250 pounds of hardware. Fortunately, my contractor happened to be around and he quickly fashioned a piece of pine board to replace it.The irony is that one of the main reasons we purchased this model is because it is does not require much assembly, however this meant the two main pieces were so heavy that I had to wait several days until I had two guys strong enough to help put it together. The package itself came on a pallet, surrounded by cardboard and particle board on the sides. It weighed 367 pounds but our delivery guy was great and it appeared to have no damage whatsoever. However, once I finally got it open, I found one of the plastic corner protectors was broken, and that one section of the white metal apron was a bit bent up. Nothing serious though, and I've asked their maintenance provider to provide a replacement corner part.Okay, all that out of the way, let me be very positive. The net is fantastic (once we figured out how to tie off the extra string in the net tension system), and although my basement floor is quite tilted (to allow drainage), I was able to get the two halves nearly perfectly level using the leg levelers. The ball bounces really well and the table top is really solid. Overall, it looks great and the ball holder tubes are a nice touch. Just be careful when setting it up.

Our Stiga 420 table is quite nice but it doesn't join together tightly in the middle and it is tooooooo heavy to handle. It has a massiveweight and it took 2 men working hard to unload it from the delivery truck and unpackage it etc.

The Good1. Table has nice bounce2. The Net is really nice and easy to set up3. The table is a snap to put together. 2 guys could do it but a 3rd guy to help position the table on the wheels makes things easier. The bad1. The surface of the table scratches very easy. I set a plastic straight edge across it to make sure the table was flat and it scratched the surface.2. The bottom board connecting the two sets of wheels is a cheap piece of particle board painted black. The table is heavy so it physically warps this light duty piece of wood. (Solid lumber would have been better) Not a big deal I will make a new peace out of oak or something3. When the table is assembled and down there is a 1" gap between the 2 sections. Again not a huge deal accept at this price point you would expect better.4. MADE IN MEXICO Seriously ??In my opinion this table is way overprice for the quality. If I was at a store and buying one and could see it I probably would not buy this one. Again its not terrible but I think there has to be better options at this price level.

The net is a bit tedious to place, but this is a great table to own!

This is actually a really nice table. It was pretty easy to put together compared to other tables and looks really good. The only problem is that we bought one that we put together and saw the shipping damage. We were able to exchange but the second one had the exact same shipping damage. I'm not sure who handled it roughly but it was identical damage. We are giving up on getting an one not damaged. It still works, but wished after spending $900 on a table it wasn't damaged before I could even use it.

This table was very easy to assemble. It's heavy so make sure to have a strong helper, but it'll only take you about 20 minutes from box to play ready. I'm happy with the look and quality. I should mention I had a slight issue with the first one I received (blemishes on the finish) but the Stiga customer service was amazing and quickly resolved my issue. Due to their customer service, I can easily give this table five stars because they are very likely to fix any concerns you may have.

* One corner protector came broken.* One ball rack came completely bent.* If you use the leveler then it's impossible to fold this table back up because the feet are too fat and collide with the metal bar.Overall: poor design and poor quality control.I bought this direct from Amazon and there's no option to get just the replacement parts. They want me to send the entire table back...I don't even know how to package this back up. So here I am waiting for the pick up person to show up and see what they have to say. Maybe they will just take the entire table away as is.
