Your cart is empty. Soil moisture tester:
1. It is used as a good helper for gardening.
2. It is convenient to use without battery. Working principle: The soil moisture of the plant is measured by the electrolysis
value of organic nutrients in the soil. The probe can be read by inserting the probe into the root without battery.
How To Use:
1:Clean the probe before use Step
2: Stick the probe into the soil about 2-4 inches Step
3: After several minutes, Note moisture level in the dial Step
Tips :
1. Use fine sandpaper lightly sand the probes so that keep clean and dry and then use.
2. Don't touch the stone or hard objects since it will be easy to damage the probe.
3. Non-soil can't be tested. It is strictly forbidden to directly penetrate into the water to measure!
4. Don't use it to test rigid ground or floor.
5. Don't touch fire and stay away from children.
6. Remove probe from soil and wipe clean after each use.

I always use this before i water my plants. this will tell the moisture of my soil. no more over watering.

I have had one for years and just wanted a couple more for different locations. They work great. Something of note, in very loose soil, you may just have to press the soil down a bit with one hand as you stick the probe in with the other to get a more accurate read, otherwise the tip doesn't come into enough soil contact for an accurate read. I find I have to do this mores in my compost where soil is more loose. Otherwise for all plants whether in the ground or potted, most soil is good enough to just stick in a couple of inches and the read is instant. I just take out and wipe rod down with my hand to remove any soil & moistness so it goes back to beginning and continue the same procedure throughout all my plants. Quick and easy :)

I have used moisture metres before and this one was not at all accurate. I ended up over watering my plants as a result so they are going in the garbage.

These meters are as basic as they come but are perfect for checking soil moisture levels. They are easy to read which is appreciated by us older folk who need reading glasses. Poke in the soil, read, remove and wipe off -- no power switch or batteries needed. What could be easier?Strong recommendation from this plant loving family.
