My last weather station bit the dust over a year ago and I quite miss it. It's handy to know what's going on outside even though you might be cosy and comfortable indoors. The RADDY WF-50V is my chance to get "weather-wise" again.The product comes in a colour printed and branded cardboard box. Inside there's the wireless weather station, the external monitoring transmitter device, a USB-C power cable and a well written small User Manual. To get up and running you will need no less than four AAA batteries (none of which are supplied).Setting up is easy-peasy - it's just a two-step process. I popped the batteries into the display unit, and it flashes the display on briefly. Then I popped the batteries into the external/outdoor transmitter. After a short while the main display unit connected automatically to the external transmitter (there's a wireless icon to confirm that). After that you need to set the time and temperature units preference and that's about it. At this point I disappeared into the back garden to put the transmitter in exactly the same place I had the old one (under the verandah of our garden room, sheltered from direct rain etc.). I even used the same screw!I ran back inside the house all excited to digest the outdoor temperature from the safety of indoors. What a miracle of technical advancement. Well, it all worked so that was the main thing. I would estimate that the garden room is about 40ft from the back of our house and I have the display monitor upstairs in my office. The signal seems reliable so far.One of the very impressive features of the RADDY WF-50V is the beautiful crisp and colourful display which is a vibrant contrast with the jet black background to the display panel. It's so nice that I have decided to have the weather station permanently USB powered so that the display can be on all the time, rather than the ten seconds you get per button-touch when battery powered.In a way I am pleased my old weather station failed because the RADDY looks so much better. It's a lovely looking and practical thing for just under £20. It's too early to say just how accurate the temperature readout will be but I am not too concerned anyway as I just like to have a good indication of the outdoor temperature, a degree or so either way is fine by me.

This is a great little clock/weather station. The display is perfect in size and we love the colours. We needed to purchase a plug/block for the cord in order to plug it in the wall as it didn't come with one. (The batteries are just for back-up should the hydro go out.) We are very pleased!

Este es un reloj digital de sobremesa, de tamaño pequeño, 9 x 9 cm., pero con una pantalla de fondo negro y números grandes y de colores vistosos, no se pueden cambiar. Además de indicar la temperatura y humedad interior, también tiene un sensor para colocar en el exterior, por lo que tendremos las dos temperaturas y humedad: interior y exterior.La conexión con la unidad exterior es rápida y estable, enseguida que se ponen las pilas se conecta.La unidad interior puede funcionar sólo con pilas, en cuyo caso permanece normalmente apagada y se enciende tocando en un sensor en la parte frontal inferior derecha, mostrando los datos durante 10 segundos. Con este funcionamiento con pilas la duración de las mismas puede llegar casi al año.La segunda forma de funcionar es conectando el reloj con un cable usb-c suministrado, aunque no viene el cargador. De esta manera, siendo necesarias las pilas para guardar los datos en caso de fallo eléctrico, el reloj permanece siempre encendido con dos niveles de brillo, aunque también se puede poner en modo apagado y que se encienda al tocarlo.No tiene alarmas, pero sí guarda en la memoria los datos de temperatura durante el día anterior.Para tenerlo en la mesa del despacho o mesa de trabajo, es un buen compañero, vistoso e informativo.

I was hoping this would be a useful way to track the temperature both indoors and out. And while you can put the outside monitor very far from the weather station, unfortunately the reading is not very accurate. On cloudy days it seems to get it right, but on sunny days (in early Spring in Canada), it will actually give a temperature reading that’s 10-15 degrees warmer than it is. But if you put it in a shady spot, that means it’ll be too low in reading the real outside temperature.So instead of testing the air temperature, it really does seem to be affected by ambient temperature, which is pretty much useless for an outdoor temperature reading.Another problem is the LCD screen. It shows hidden icons when you try moving the device because the LCD is so sensitive. It reminds me of those cheap LCD calculator screens that would eventually show incomplete numbers.And the screen numbers are not very dark, so you have to put it several degrees below eye level so you’re looking down at it to read it well.1 star – save your money and get something better.

Die Funkwetterstation ist ein solides, platzsparendes Gerät, das sehr übersichtlich gestaltet ist. Geliefert wird sie in einem neutralen, weißen Karton. Darin befinden sich die einwandfrei gearbeitete Station sowie ein Außen-Funksensor und eine Bedienungsanleitung.Das Gerät misst sowohl die Temperatur als auch die Luftfeuchtigkeit innen wie außen. Außerdem kann man die Wettertendenz darauf ersehen und die Uhrzeit ablesen. Die Anzeige ist insgesamt sehr gut und leicht erkennbar. Das Display ist übersichtlich gestaltet und sieht gut aus. Man kann alle Daten einfach im Vorbeigehen ablesen.Der Außensensor hat eine Reichweite von 100 Metern. Der Empfang ist tipptopp. Betrieben wird die Funkwetterstation mit Batterien (nicht im Lieferumfang inbegriffen). Gebraucht werden 2x AAA Batterien für die Funkwetterstation und 2x AAA Batterien für den Außensensor. Die Batterien sollen im Gerät bis zu 1 Jahr halten. Bei niedrigem Ladestand zeigt das Gerät den notwendigen Wechsel an.Uns gefällt diese Funkwetterstation ausgesprochen gut. Sie ist mit ihrer Übersichtlichkeit und einfachen Installation wie Bedienbarkeit genau das, was wir für unseren Senior gesucht haben. Für uns passen Qualität und Verarbeitung, deutlich und einfach ablesbares Display sowie ihre Funktionalität. Wir sind damit sehr zufrieden und können sie vollkommen empfehlen.

This is a good indoor/outdoor weather station. The screen is very nice, the display is LCD with some colour and backlighting. The majority of the background is deep black and the display is white and orange. It's a very good looking well laid out display. The remote temperature sensor comes pre-paired with the base, I just put in batteries and it started communicating. I also like how it's powered by USB-C and how you can install batteries so it doesn't forget it's settings. I do wish the screen were larger and I wish it had a auto brightness setting.
