This is perfect for my needs. I had to find something to help pull down (and push back up) the top sashes on my double-hung windows for the summer months, so I searched through all sorts of gadgets to get an idea for a window pole tool. I'm short and I can't reach the window tops, nor can I reach the tops of the pull-down cellular shades without having to drag a step stool around the house to accomplish all of this, which was getting tedious. I saw this latch hook that I drilled and screwed into a pole that I had hanging around the house, and I also glued it with welding glue so that it wouldn't pop off. It's solid as a rock and works perfectly. I can now easily pull down the top shades and window sashes with the projection knob, and then push everything back up with the curved top end, making life a lot easier for this senior citizen. I'm going to buy another one or two of these to have window poles handy in other rooms. I can now also slide curtains and drapes back and forth from the tops of the curtain rods and, as I usually hope for, I'll surely find all sorts of other uses for my new "reach tool".

Impossible to find in stores. I got a long 1/2" dowel and used sandpaper to get the end to just the perfect fit for this tool. Works great to open, close and lock my clerestory windows.

I bought this for our transom window with the ring style latch. I mounted it to the end of a 1/2” Electrical Metallic Tubing and it looks and works great. I have the same complaints as others. It’s not 3/4 ID and the set screw hole is too big.

I was able to make this work as intended but it arrived torn open and there wasn't any kind of screw to secure it to the pole ....AND it is definitely not 3/4" diameter. I had to sand off 1/8" of the pole to make it functional (It's barely 5/8" diameter). I'm being generous with 3 stars.
