Very good quality. Unfortunately didn't work for the pit we were trying to build. It was difficult to find bricks to go around it with the shape but gave it to my mom and she was able to make something work. As long as you set it up correctly, the smokeless aspect works great. Make sure you have good airflow coming from the bottom at some point and have the top sealed and it works like a charm.

We needed a bonfire for the ritual burning of an angry family member's ugly coffee table. This one was super easy to assemble, very portable, and large enough to contain a decent-sized fire. Our ritual happened on a reasonably cool New Year's Eve, and the firepit provided plenty of heat to keep us warm. We even toasted marshmallows to make s'mores. The firepit can be buried if you wish, but we probably will want to move it around at different times of the year, and it works fine just placed on the ground.

Cheap paint, most of it burned off with the first fire. Got a can of high temp engine spray paint and it looks nice and black again.
