The costumes are a little tricky for a 7-year old to cut out without help but they were a handy resource for teaching about Elizabethan costume.

Once again Tom Tierney has produced a beautiful collection of gowns and clothing. This period addition is detailed, colorful, and true to what has been seen in paintings. The only drawbacks are the costumes are done on the thinner glossy paper and the book is actually smaller in size than some of his other older books. Please check-out his "Great Fashion Designs of the Twenties or Thirties or Forties" books which have a copyright dates of 1983, 1984 and 1987 for the larger size and card stock paper type books (purchased in 2005-2006). Or his "Glamorous Movie Stars of the Thirties" copyright date of 1978 (purchased in 2007) for the smaller size book but done on card stock paper.All and all I do recommend this for anyone interested in this era of clothing.
