This boost module has voltage stabilizing function. It is used for capacitance charging, and deratization or as power supply of electromagnetic gun, electronic equipment, or test power supply of voltage or glow tube.

So bought two of these. One was DOA. The other worked, well worked just not the way the product description says it would.So what does that mean?... well the (really bad) product description suggests that there is a current limiter built in whereby the input current is limited to 4.5A at which point the output voltage is being reduced... complete nonsense, this device will draw any amount of current until it a) burns into a crisp or (if you are lucky) it blows the 10A fuse on the input (before it burns into a crisp). So if you want to limit the input current, you'll have to do it yourself. Since they only provide the best case scenario for the 88% conversion efficiency without stating under what setup that happens, determining what is the safe maximum input current (given your voltages and load) is going to be trial and error at best.Next, the product description says the voltage is adjustable up to 390V, well, yes and beyond. So what's the problem with this, if you keep spinning the trimming pot, you will easily go past 400V on the output. Why is this an issue?... well the capacitors on the board are rated at 400V so anything past that is an accident waiting to happen. Capacitors blowing up at that voltage is another kind of fun you don't need in your life ;) so don't drive the output past the ratings on the capacitors.The transformer gets super hot as does the heat sink. Best not to run this without a fan which cools everything.I can go on but the point is buyer be ware, these boards are nifty little things that give you approximately 200mA on the output but they don't have the safety features that are implied in the product description. If I ever wanted to design a product that customers frequently destroy so that I can sell them more of the same, this would be it... cashcow for whoever makes this. BTW they are $3.50 in aliexpre$$ (sans shipping). Buy then there and stand behind safety glass as you figure out how to set this up :)
