Add to the 2.4 GHz wifi, then easy to add to the MacOS 12 via Bonjour, and works automatically with iOS 16 from my phone. With wifi, you can hide it in a closet or an armoir. Our previous MX922 printed really nice photos on gloss paper. Inkjet fades with light exposure, but good photo quality print. I have had other Canons before, and worse yet, Epsons, and ink clogs. But this one almost never clogs, even when using generic ink cartridges for years. If there is a clog, usually can be fixed with one cycle of the print utility. Printer jams were pretty rare except after 9 years. When it jams badly it can be a nightmare to remove paper as this printer can't really be opened fully. Scan utility is pretty good too. Can be set to auto-scan four 4x6 photos and place them in Apple Photos app. Can scan single or double side prints into PDF. I can't imagine how one could improve upon this printer really.

I had this same model printer for about 4 years. I have a home office. I print lots of documents, long and short. This printer is very easy to use. Unfortunately, it finally "died". I had a significant stash of ink tanks; so, I wanted to buy the same model. I have used all of the features - print, copy, scan and fax. All are easy to use. The quality of print in black and white and color is good. I print lots of long documents, usually two-sided. The printer is fairly quick. Envelops are also easy to print. I would definitely recommend this printer.

This is my second one and love it as I print out many family pics and soooooo nice as well as other letters etc! Had the last one for years but of course got tired. Lol8 months later it stopped and could not get any help and believe me I tried everyone to no avail!!!!!It would not print out and kept saying no paper in tray when we knew something more is happening. The bad thing is no help and we even called CANNON thing they would help but said sorry it is discontinued!! How can a seller on Amazon sell a product for full price and new for $516.39?? So I am stuck! Not fair! Never heard from the seller!!~~Yes I loved my first one and lasted for years........but this one 8 months and no help!!!

Purchased a canon MX 922 about six years ago for $85. It was a beautiful job and work well open till about a month or so ago when colors would not come out right. I searched high and low looking for the same MX 922 and found it on Amazon which I promptly purchased. Unfortunately the price had jumped to $470. In spite of this, I purchased it, Setup was extremely easy. I connected to Wi-Fi in 15 minutes after basic setup was complete. I took all the ink cartridges from the old unit, Put them in the new, Ran calibration, And the unit has been functioning just beautifully. Colors are great, two-sided printing is great. I just wish the price had been a little bit less.

I have bought five of these for home and office. Great at everything it does! Uses aftermarket inks, about $1 per cartridge on Amazon. Then I turn around and recycle the empty cartridges at Office Depot for $2 in rewards per cartridge. So, free ink! A big negative, however, is there is possibly a self-destruct built in, as these units magically stop working after a few years. This has happened to me twice. I think Canon has stopped producing the MX922, as the price for recent replacements are harder to find, and at over twice the original price paid.

I'm very happy with the printer. I use it on a Ubuntu 16.04 Desktop machine. My computer did not recognize the printer as network printer. But when I changed the printer to be a USB printer and used an USB cable instead of the Ethernet cable then it did work well.I also tried it on Windows where it also recognises the printer as network printer using the Ethernet cable. Text, picture and photo prints look great from Ubuntu. Borderless printing did not work from Ubuntu. However, as long as I tested, all looks perfect when printed from Windows including borderless printing.I consider the Canon ink cartridges pretty pricy. So I found this vendor for alternative ink and it works great:I highly recommend this printer as it produces great and cheap results even using the ink mentioned above.I use the printing features and the manual scanner. I don't use the automatic scanner features for scanning multiple pages. So I cannot evaluate the latter.I give the 4 stars only because it does not come with Linux support by default. It would be great to have a reliable cheap printer like this shipped with drivers for Linux as well. With Linux support I would give it 5 stars. The material of the chassis looks beautiful. However, it attracts dust easily. So I cover the printer with a cloth as you can see in the picture.

Huge! And loving it. Canon's motto is "First In Imaging" (cameras, printers, scanners, etc) and it is fitting. My old Brother all-in-one was not used enough and the print head clogged. It never did print very nicely, not like this Canon MX922, which comes with one dye black and one pigment black cartridge (5 carts. in total...psst refillable...shhh!)Before buying this printer I read reviews of difficulties setting up the wireless connection. Ridiculous! It was as easy as any printer that I've ever had.You have to install, on each computer, the driver file, which for me was downloaded from Canon's site as: "MX920 series MP Drivers Ver 1.01"A driver disk with additional software is included with the printer, but I only wanted the basic driver. which I downloaded to ensure I had the latest version. After installing the drivers, I accessed the menu on the printer to set up the wireless connection. I entered my wireless SSID (the name of my router's broadcast ID) and then entered the passcode for my wireless network. Now, on each PC, I went to the Start button (Windows 7), clicked on "Devices and Printers", and if the new printer did not show up, I clicked on "Add a Printer". Windows searched and found the new printer which I made the default printer, since my Brother printer was also still connected. This procedure (for me) was as simple as any printer I've had.The Pros:- Large capacity paper tray, two-sided, hands-off printing, excellent print quality, CD/DVD tray for printable disks ("hidden" on bottom of paper tray), large multiple ink cartridges, cheaply available.Possible Cons:- Large unit. I knew the size before buying this and had a spot prepared for it's majesty.

Great printer! Love the large capacity paper tray and the always available separate photo tray. Double sided printing is a must have feature - does very well. Since we are using Apple products exclusively in our home, the Air Print feature is quite important. It was tricky for me at first to get the wireless connection working but a few times I was doing the same things and expecting different results; we all know what that means. Reading directions thoroughly and comprehension is always important before initiating a project like getting a printer or any other electronic thing online.Parked this printer in the bedroom declared an office in our home and have no difficulty printing wirelessly from anywhere in our bi-level.I use third party inks [sold at this site] without difficulty saving a lot of money. Purchased for $99. Recently seen it in Canada advertised elsewhere on sale for $89. Both good prices.

This printer is realy cool!I love some little features like the paper output that open on its own when you print and the spot to store the driver DVD under the paper feeder! realy nice! The control panel is weel thought too, the LCD screen is good and the control panel ligths only the usable button for the current menu.It also prints recto/verso.And there is this optionnal additionnal big black ink cartridge so yo don't have to change it often.I tested the photo print quality with the glossy paper sample that comes with the printer and it is awesome! amazing color fidelity! There is just one thing that is anoying me, when you did not print for more than a day, the preparation time before the first print is quite long. like 2 to 3 minutes. So when you are in a hurry it can be realy displeasing...But in the end i think it's a price to pay for the constant quality!I strongly recomend this printer.
